Celebrity Chef Night

Home Celebrity Chef Night
Each month we will be featuring and honoring a Local Celebrity with the Great full Gardens Celebrity Guest Chef night for Charity!

Our Celebrity Chefs are Reno citizens who are making a difference in our community.  We spotlight the “foodie” in them and together create a unique, pop up menu to serve to friends, supporters and of course, our customers.  A portion of the menu’s proceeds will go to a local charity of their choice.  It is a night of music, fun, friendship, delicious food and giving back! For more information or if you are interested in becoming our Celebrity Chef, please contact info@greatfullgardens.com

Athena McIntyre returned to provide music, and fun was had by all! Together, we raised $500.00 for High Sierra AHEC.

Oliver X, Reno Tahoe Tonight magazine

Oliver X took us back to his culinary roots on September 27, 2015 with his Soul Food menu. We opened on Sunday for this very special party, with music provided by DJ Tony Walker and fun was had by all who attended. Together, we raised $750.00 for Cash 4 Kaia and Shakespeare Animal Fund.

Lanette Katre, The Shot Spot-A B12 Bar

June 30, 2015 we held our 4th Celebrity Chef evening, with Lanette Katre—owner of “The Shot Spot-A B12 Bar” Lanette put together a delicious Greek inspired Paleo menu, and we had a lot of fun with the theme of the night—“B Fabulous!”. Milton Merlos provided a perfect musical backdrop for the night. Lanette’s menu and the evening’s proceeds went to benefit the Food Bank of Northern Nevada—Summer Foods program.

Tanya Rose Bordner, Juice Box Yoga

March 24, 2015 was our third celebrity chef night, featuring Tanya Rose Bordner. Tanya’s menu was 100% plant based, and the theme of the evening was “Mission Possible.” This was a very special event for us, as GinoTheSoup Man soups got their start several years ago in Tanya’s Juice Box Yoga studio! It was such an honor to be able to give back to Tanya’s foundation, YogisForGood.com. Mission Possible themed music was provided by Gia Torcaso and together, we raised $2050.00 for Yogis For Good!

Lauren Yurick, Benefits Resource Group

On September 23, 2014, we hosted our second celebrity chef night, featuring Lauren Yurick.  Lauren shared her time tested menu, “Flavors of Fall.”  We had a great evening of music from Athena McIntyre, and fun was had by all!  Together, we raised $860.00 for Step 2 Reno.org.

Fire Chief, Tim Spencer

On July 29,2014 we had Division Fire Chief, Tim Spencer feature his menu, “Firehouse Favorites” as our very first Celebrity Chef!  Together we raised $1000.00 for the Reno Firefighter’s Community Assistance Program.  We had a packed house, and a great time.
